When things change…
We used to go to Cedar Creek in Pelion South Carolina and loved pretty much everything about it (except the gnats). The people who took our membership money had financial problems and the former owner of the park took possession again. They put a bunch of money into the park to sell it again. The people they sold it to had different plans for the club. Suddenly, children were no longer welcome and they dropped their AANR affiliation. Families pulled their trailers out and the Pastor who had done Sunday services for years was told not to come back. The new crowd was Lifestyle people and this didn’t jive with the new model. We pulled our Motorhome out early in the process because we didn’t need the affiliation. It was sad to hear what eventually happened to our family park. We had to find a new place and eventually landed at Serendipity Park in Cleveland, GA. We’re really happy at this club but unfortunately, it is also up for sale. What will happen? When will it happen? Not Sure. The sellers have assured everyone that it will stay a Family park when sold but that remains to be seen. Changes will affect the people who attend the park in one way or another. We’ll be optimistic until we don’t have a reason to be.
